In 2021, 115 exceptional talents from all over Africa had the opportunity to be a part of the SEO Africa Training Programme.
We organized 5 training programmes for both our In-country and International Programme this year: the In-Country training programme; first in Nigeria and then in Ghana; the Goldman Sachs and the Bank of America pre-Internship training programmes and for the very first time, our pre-internship training programme for Linklaters ( a "magic circle" law firm in the UK).
With regards to equity and diversity, we trained 49 and 66 females and males respectively.
As part of our goals to expand into other African countries, our in-country programme attracted candidates from francophone African countries such as Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast.
All interns were intensively trained to prepare them for careers in various divisions such as Investment Banking, Private Equity, Legal, Global Markets, Operations, Human Resources, Engineering, Technology, Global Research and Global Risk.
We are happy to confirm a ~90% retention rate following the Bank of America and Goldman Sachs internships.
